Having immersed myself in the enchanting allure of Bali ever since completing my 200-hour yoga teacher training here in Ubud in September 2022, the prospect of hosting my very own yoga retreat on this magical island feels like an absolute dream unfolding. I'm so excited to share not only the serenity of the yoga practice but also my personal favorite spots on this magical island with you.

THE LOCATION - ULUWATU, BALI

Bali is more than just our retreat destination but an extraordinary heaven on earth. Especially, Uluwatu, with its dramatic cliffs, breathtaking beaches, and vibrant cultural tapestry, is an idyllic tropical oasis for our week-long yoga retreat. Lush greenery is meeting the rhythmic waves of the Indian Ocean, creating a symphony of serenity that will captivate your soul.

Nestled in the serene southern part of Bali, Salty Breeze presents a beautiful retreat oasis with breathtaking views of the expansive ocean. Within this idyllic haven, you are able to select from a variety of tranquil and contemporary bungalows and will be able to enjoy their beautiful amenities such as a refreshing pool, jungle gym and much more! I already had the privilege of curating a wonderful yoga retreat last autumn at the same location with 18 yogini*s and am so excited to organise and host this wonderful yoga retreat this year for you!

THE PRACTICE - all levels welcome

We will start the day with a joint 75’ morning yoga class at the wonderful shala at Salty Breeze. The focus and style of the classes (heart opener, hip focus etc.) will vary every day and I will offer options for all levels. The majority of classes will be vinyasa style after a morning meditation and including pranayama (yogic practice on focusing on the breath). You should be familiar with the basic principles of yoga such as knowing the basic asanas, you don’t need to do chaturanga if you don’t want to of course!

In the afternoon we will focus on 90’ gentle flows such as yin classes melting into the yoga mat, guided relaxations and special workshops with some of my favorite yoga teachers. During our retreat we will also get the chance to practice in some of my preferred personal yoga studios in Uluwatu (such as Alchemy or The Space) and Ubud (such as Yoga Barn) for the full Bali experience. You can look forward to unique workshops such as cacao ceremony and much more!

In total you will be able to enjoy 6 morning yoga classes à 75’ and 6 afternoon yoga classes/ workshops à 90’ so your bali bliss retreat will include 12 yoga classes/ workshops.

Please note that on the day of the trip to Ubud we will not have any morning yoga to skip the traffic jam - on the day of our special dinner at one of my fav spots there will most likely be no afternoon yoga as we will enjoy the sunset & view from the establishment already - it’s worth it I promise! :)

THE FOOD - vegan heaven

For me, nourishing your soul via yoga goes hand in hand with delicious fueling plant-based food. Thus, we will enjoy tasty vegan food throughout the yoga retreat and start the day either at the all you can eat brunch buffet at Salty Breeze (think of refreshing smoothie bowls, savoury tofu scramble, tropical fruits, home made banana bread & much more) or at one of my vegan food favorite spots on the island. Of course you will also get one coconut a day in order to hydrate yourself with the island’s natural water. For dinner we will be spoiled either with an all you can eat vegan dinner buffet at Salty Breeze with fresh high-quality ingredients and local authentic specialities (such as nasi goreng, gado gado etc.) or at one of my top personal dinner restaurant choices in Bali - all included of course in your retreat package.

Overview - RETREAT SCHEDULE

A typical day at our yoga retreat will start with a sunrise vinyasa yoga class followed by nourishing breakfast either in our retreat location or at one of my fav spots. I am making sure that you will have the absolute best yoga retreat experience and thus will organise many highlights including the following (all included in your retreat package of course):

  • Special morning yoga classes with me and my most beloved teachers & mentors from the island including special locations in beautiful tropical yoga shalas around Uluwatu and Ubud allowing you to connect with nature and your inner self

  • Exceptional yoga & retreat workshops such as heart-opening cacao ceremony, relaxing yin yoga classes nurturing our body and soul with my favorite teachers enriching our yoga retreat journey to an even deeper level

  • Ubud day trip incl. visit of authentic rice terraces, nourishing brunch at my most loved spot, exploring an authentic Balinese temple, flowing at the best yoga studio and vegan dinner in my absolute favorite dinner location

  • Uluwatu explorations including free time to visit the best small boutiques, embrace self-care with wellness treatments and/ or enjoying speciality coffee and refreshing tropical juices in my favorite cafés and restaurants

  • Beach club visit for relaxing in the sun, enjoying the beautiful ocean and soaking in the serenity of the sea breeze while sipping a refreshing coconut

  • Special dinners at the best sunset locations in Uluwatu overlooking the ocean as the sky transforms into a canvas of endless cotton candy colors

Here is how a typical day at our yoga retreat will look like (every day there will be different highlights though! :)

  • 07:00 - 07:15 Optional pre yoga tea & coffee time

  • 07:30 - 08:45 Sunrise yoga

  • 09:30 - 10:30 Yogic brunch

  • 11:00 - 15:30 Wellness activities e.g. beach club or free time

  • 16:00 - 17:30 Afternoon workshop/ yoga class

  • 17:45 - 18:30 Optional joint sunset

  • 19:00 - 20:00 Yogic dinner

Please note that personal expenses such as extra (alcoholic) drinks, airport pick-up & drop off, massages, unique trips etc. are not included. I’m happy to help you organise everything of course though! :)
