ASIAN HOMEMADE KORNELIA DUMPLINGS
I love to try out my own recipes and prepare them for friends/ family. Of course, not everything works out (do not ask me after my poppy seed cake attempt 😂) but if it does I am more than happy. This is why I want to share the recipe for the delicious Asian style dumplings with you which I prepared together with the delicious fresh dough from Kornelia.
But before I jump into the recipe, I wanted to share one fun fact about me preparing the dumplings with you: I „just“ moved into a new flat and my kitchen is really far from being fully equipped. So I realized only after I wanted to prepare these dumplings that I do not own a rolling pin. However, this was no problem as I just used my thermos bottle to roll the dough out - creative right? 😂

RECIPE FOR ASIAN KORNELIA DUMPLINGS
- 1 package of fresh Kornelia dough
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 package of tofu, natural (350g)
- approximately 15 champignons
- 250g mung bean sprouts
- 4 tablespoon soy sauce
- 5 tablespoon peanut butter
- 1/2 freshly squeezed lemon
- 1 tablespoon agave syrup
- Salt, pepper and oil
- Chop the onion and garlic
- First, fry the onion and then add the garlic when the onion is glassy
- Add the chopped mushrooms and stir for approximately 5 min.
- Add the chopped tofu and after letting it fry for approximately 5 min add the sprouts
- Last, add 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and peanut butter, mix firmly, season with salt & pepper and let the filling rest
- Meanwhile preheat the oven to 200° fan setting
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface (with a rolling pin if you have one haha)
- Cut out circles: you can use e.g. a lid or glass jar
- Fill the circles with the prepared filling (do not add too much, a mistake I often made!)
- Close the circles and use a fork for making a nice pattern on the edges
- Add some oil on top and put the dumplings into the oven
- Bake the dumplings for 25-30min
- Meanwhile, prepare the dip: just mix 3 tablespoons of peanut butter, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, the 1/2 freshly squeezed lemon and 1 tablespoon of agave syrup
- Let the dumplings cool out a bit
- Enjoy!
