1010 Wien - innere Stadt

  • Öfferl Wollzeile (also in 1030 & 1060)
If you’re looking for the best bakery in Vienna you must head to Öfferl for brunch. The high-quality bakery has multiple stores around town and offers a careful selection of brunch options in their super aesthetic restaurant in the first district or at their other bistros at Landstraße (1030) and Mariahilferstraße (1060). I love the their vegan options and also their speciality coffee is super tasty. Make sure to try their brunch & maybe grab some pastries to go!

1020 Wien - leopoldau

  • Motto am Fluss
This top brunch spot offers a delightful and diverse (vegan) breakfast menu including hearty options and sweet treats (my fav is their creamy avocado toast). Located by the Danube Canal, it provides a beautiful view perfect for a relaxed brunch.

  • Goldener Papagei
I actually used to only head to this amazing place when I wanted to get some work done and a bit of a change scenery. Little did I know Goldener Papagei also serves amazing (vegan) brunch options which you shouldn’t miss! Paired with their high quality speciality coffee this spot shall be high on your list - make sure to also try their pastries!

  • Klyo
This beautiful place is a foodie’s dream come true as they don’t limit breakfast to only the morning hours and also have amazing (high-protein & vegan) options! What I also really like about Klyo is not only the view over the Donaukanal but also that they’re writing the micro and macro of each dish so you can check what fits your diet (and appetite of course) best! If you’re in Graz (Austria’s second biggest city) you might also want to check out their branch there too!

  • Ramasuri
Is there anything better than enjoying the sunshine over a delicious brunch in the beautiful garden? In the middle of one of my favourite corners of Vienna, right next to the Nestroy Monument, hides this charming brunch hotspot. The menu features loads of vegetarian & vegan dishes such as the sweet potato (vegan & gluten-free), strawberry and vanilla porridge (vegan), mediterranean omelette (veggie) and my fav vegans don't bite (obviously vegan).

  • Hotel Babula
Another fantastic brunch spot close to the Augarten is the Hotel Babula, especially known for its extensive vegan breakfast options (the avocado tacos are really tasty) and their cozy and stylish setting. Combine the brunch with a long walk to the Augarten for a perfect start to the new day!

  • Ihana
This small coffee shop is offering a carefully selected brunch menu with tasty vegan breakfast options. The owner is from Finland and so offering her favorite Smörrebröds and delicious cinnamon buns. Also their coffee is super tasty and the whole place itself simply charming!

  • Vollpension
This unique brunch spot is known for its nostalgic atmosphere and unique concept: you’re eating in Grandma's public living room! You can expect the best cakes freshly baked by their grandmas and grandpas and also exceptional vegan breakfast options. Their Grandma Erika‘s True Plant-Based Platter includes for example 2 spreads, seasonal vegetables, vegan butter, vegan cheese, jam, a small serving of Bircher muesli, 1 roll, 1 slice of rye bread, 1 salt stick.

1050 Wien - Margareten

  • Karl
Lovely speciality coffee shop serving tasty baked treats and also amazing breakfast on the cute Margaretenplatz. Their bakery leaves no wish open and includes for example babka, brioche, walnut roll and some savoury options as well.

  • Cafe Propeller
I’m not often in this part of Vienna but when I do, a brunch at Cafe Propeller is an absolute must! Their avocado toast is simply delicious and the whole atmosphere (inside & outside) of the cafe is really charming. The menu is offering a wide range of sweet and savoury dishes, I would recommend to reserve a spot in advance!

  • Motto Brot
The aroma of freshly baked bread, sweet Viennoiserie specialties, and delicious coffee wafts from the charming bakery which not only delights with take-away treats but also invites you to brunch and linger in its charming garden café. This little piece of Paris right on Mariahilfer Straße is one of my favorite spots for a cozy breakfast rendezvous with my loved ones. The menu offers many vegan options: from egg dishes with tofu scramble to Motto porridge with berry compote, to Motto garden toast with pea mash, marinated carrots, preserved lemons, and cress—truly fulfilling every brunch dream! Of course, a fresh Motto bread and sweet delicacies had to be taken home for further enjoyment.

Also the outdoor and indoor seating area is so lovely, make sure to reserve a spot!

  • Treu am Platzl
